Welcome to Anadromous Traditions! My name is Matt Katibah and I’m a fly fishing guide here in Oregon’s Rogue Valley. Each year the Rogue River calls me home, where I stay from November until May when I pack up and head North for my Summer season on Western Alaska’s Kanektok River, and later Washington’s Grande Ronde. Anadromous Traditions is a Fly Fishing guide service through which I provide the very best in fishing and casting instruction, primarily with the use of two-handed rods and skagit line systems. Through a Swing only approach to Steelhead fly fishing, I strive to teach novice and advanced anglers alike to enjoy the process of covering water efficiently while also demonstrating just how effective the swung fly can be.

If you are interested in learning about sustained anchor (Skagit) Spey casting, touching up your already workable cast, or you’d just like to book a day of fishing- you are in the right place!
