Guided Steelhead trips through Anadromous Traditions are centered around quality instruction in casting techniques and swung fly presentations. For transportation while fishing we utilize a 13′ NRS raft, allowing for quick and stealthy moves between spots. Based on conditions we will cover a variety of fishing situations, correct and improve casting that needs it, I’ll do my best to find the fish, and most importantly we’ll have a good time! I work hard to provide a comfortable and relaxed environment for our time on the water.
Whether it be fall, winter, or spring, on a typical trip with Anadromous Traditions you can expect to spend approx. 10 hours on the water. We will move down river covering each likely spot as thoroughly and efficiently as possible, discussing fishing techniques, water type, and proper casting. When in comes to swinging flies for Steelhead, my goal for a guided trip is to make you a better angler over the course of the day. For some that may mean working on a cast to present your fly more consistently, for others it may be a matter of fishing the fly better. It may also be a matter of intense coaching in specific spots to convince a Steelhead to strike. Regardless, fish or no fish, at the end of the day I’m confident that my guests are better fishermen/women and hopefully have a better understanding of the techniques we use and the fish we are trying to catch.
